Effective Date: [October 4, 2026]
Piper’s Purpose Foundation (“Piper’s Purpose,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information when you visit our website, contact us, request assistance or scholarships, make a donation, or otherwise interact with Piper’s Purpose Foundation.
Piper’s Purpose Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2026 in memory of Piper Leigh Goodwin. We support families facing childhood cancer and invest in future healthcare professionals through nursing scholarships.
Information We Collect
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, including when you:
- Contact us through our website, email, phone, or other communication methods;
- Request family assistance or other support;
- Apply for a scholarship or other foundation program;
- Make a donation;
- Subscribe to communications or provide information through an online form; or
- Otherwise communicate with or participate in activities offered by Piper’s Purpose Foundation.
Depending on the nature of your request, information may include your name, contact information, mailing address, family or household information, financial information, information related to a child’s medical or treatment circumstances, scholarship application information, and other information necessary to evaluate or respond to your request.
You are encouraged to provide only the information reasonably necessary for the purpose of your request.
Information Provided by Families Seeking Assistance
We understand that families who contact Piper’s Purpose may be experiencing an especially difficult and personal time. Information provided to us in connection with a request for family assistance will be treated with care and respect.
We will not publicly share, publish, or otherwise identify families or individuals seeking assistance without appropriate permission. We will not use a family’s name, photograph, medical information, personal story, or other identifying information for promotional, fundraising, social media, website, or other public purposes unless we have received appropriate consent.
Information provided by families may be shared internally with authorized Piper’s Purpose representatives, volunteers, or service providers when reasonably necessary to evaluate or provide assistance. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the safety, rights, or well-being of an individual.
Providing information to request assistance does not require a family to agree to have its story, photograph, or personal information publicly shared.
Scholarship Information
Information submitted as part of a scholarship application will be used primarily to evaluate eligibility, administer the scholarship program, communicate with applicants, and fulfill applicable reporting or administrative requirements.
Scholarship applicants should understand that limited information about scholarship recipients may be shared publicly when appropriate—for example, the recipient’s name, school, field of study, or a general description of the scholarship—but we will seek appropriate permission before using personal stories, photographs, or other information for public-facing promotional purposes.
Choosing not to provide permission for promotional use will not, by itself, prevent an eligible student from receiving scholarship consideration.
Donations and Stripe Payment Processing
Piper’s Purpose Foundation uses Stripe to process online donations. When you make a donation through our website, you may be directed to a Stripe-hosted payment page or interact with Stripe payment technology integrated into our website.
Stripe may collect information necessary to process your donation, which may include your name, email address, billing or mailing address, payment method information, transaction amount, transaction date, and other information necessary to process, verify, secure, and document the transaction. The specific information collected may depend on the payment method you choose.
Piper’s Purpose Foundation does not intentionally collect or store complete credit card or debit card numbers on our own website servers. Payment information is processed through Stripe’s payment services.
Stripe may process personal information for purposes including payment processing, fraud prevention, security, regulatory compliance, and other purposes described in Stripe’s privacy documentation. Stripe operates under its own privacy policies and terms.
For more information about how Stripe handles personal information, please review Stripe’s Privacy Center.
Piper’s Purpose may receive certain donor and transaction information from Stripe that is necessary to maintain donation records, provide donation acknowledgments and receipts, maintain financial records, comply with legal and tax requirements, and administer our organization.
We do not sell donor information to third parties.
Donor Privacy
We value the trust of individuals who choose to support Piper’s Purpose Foundation.
Unless otherwise required by law or specifically authorized by the donor, we will not publicly disclose a donor’s personal information, including name, address, email address, or donation amount, for promotional or fundraising purposes.
Donors may contact us to request that their name not be publicly recognized or used in connection with foundation communications.
Donation records may be retained as necessary to satisfy financial, tax, accounting, legal, and administrative requirements.
